Irish salon chuffed with Saoirse's plug on Ellen DeGeneres

"For us it’s always amazing when anyone recommends us or gives us positive feedback," owner Andrea Horan told RTÉ LifeStyle.

"We’re not an elite type salon – everyone is welcome and treated the same, there’s no VIP status."

However they are thrilled with the fact that their salon has been named on one of biggest TV shows in the world: "To get a name check on one of our favourite TV programmes in the world, I mean to hear Ellen say the name of your company on her show, now that is surreal.

"It’s so outrageous and mental. I can’t get over it, it’s the soundest thing ever. So sound.

"Saoirse didn’t have to do it, it was such a nice endorsement."

Having lived in the states previously with her sister Michelle, who manages Tropical Popical, Andrea was a big Ellen fan: “We stayed there for three months, planning and working on our business ideas for the salon and we would watch Ellen’s show every single day. So it’s lovely to think back, that’s where it all began and now our business has been name checked on that show!”

Not only that but the team behind DeGeneres' TV show rang the salon to check over a few details and ask if they could use some images of the salon and of Saoirse celebrating her Golden Globe nomination with the girls.

The Brooklyn actress was in the salon when news broke about her Golden Globe nomination and they all celebrated with some impromptu bubbles (as per the Instagram snap below)!

Saoirse is a regular in the salon along with her mum, Monica and recently she was in the salon with her regular manicurist Chloe Gilbert to get: "...Christmas bobbles when she got her Golden Globe nomination, nail art for another awards ceremony and a colour to match her dress for the Brooklyn premiere."

One of the reasons why Saoirse may like the salon is the atmosphere that Horan and her team strive for: "We’re 50% about the nail experience and 50% about having the experience – we want everyone to have a good time. I have always been about creating good experiences, it’s just as important as getting a good nail job."

Incidentally: "While I’m talking to you - we’re hiring, we’re looking for staff!"

No doubt they’ll be inundated.
