The Dynasty star today unveiled a costume collection of exquisite pieces from her life and career at the museum in Kildare.
'The Collection of Dame Joan Collins' features an array of fashion, jewellery, cinema memorabilia, furniture and decorative arts.
Highlights from the exhibition include costumes from Dynasty, including evening gowns by Nolan Miller, a couture halter dress worn to the Doctor Doolittle premiere, a custom made white fox and mink cape by Edward Lowell and a fabulous collection of costume jewellery from the 1960s to present.
The collection will be on display to the public, free of charge, at the Museum of Style Icons, Newbridge, Co. Kildare until Sunday, November 8.
The exhibition is a world exclusive and gives visitors the chance a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the prized items before they go on sale in December at Julien's Auctions in Beverley Hills.
Speaking about the collection, William Doyle CEO of Newbridge Silverware said; “It is an honour to have the legendary Dame Joan Collins represented at the Museum of Style Icons. The collection is filled with a number of show-stopping pieces and we are proud to introduce them all to our visitors before they go to auction. We look forward to welcoming both regular and new guests to see the exhibition and of course, welcoming Joan to the Museum of Style Icons.”
