Electric Picnic skincare: quick tips

Sunglasses not only look great, but protect your eyes from the sun
Sunglasses not only look great, but protect your eyes from the sun

1) Take off your make-up no matter what, and make sure to keep your body and skin hydrated at all times.

2) Cleanse and tone using a face cloth or muslin cloth and NOT cleansing wipes. Wipes are no substitute for old-fashioned facial washing. In fact, wipes are usually full of chemicals and can leave chemical residue as well as not removing all of your make-up. If you are stuck and need to use one, be sure to wash your face before and after use.

3) Wear sunglasses. Not only will you see the stage better as sunglasses block the glare from the sun, they also protect your eyes from harmful UV rays.

4) Wear a large sun hat. By wearing a nice sun hat you can protect your scalp, face and neck from harmful UV rays.

5) Use minimum factor 50 sunscreen. Needless to say, your skin should always be protected from the sun’s harmful rays, even when it’s cloudy.

6) More moisture, more often! Keep a mini moisturiser handy in your bag and apply throughout the day. (Even better if it has SPF included).

7) Hydrate! Between all of the alcoholic drinks, keep hydrated with water. Your skin will thank you.
