After years of overplucking as a teenager, my eyebrows are uneven and patchy, so I have to fill them in with a brow pencil or powder every day to give them shape and definition.
I let them grow out for about 6 months without touching them with a tweezers, but they still looked patchy, and not full and healthy like I had hoped.
I went on the hunt for a good brows specialist, and after a bit of Googling, came upon Kim O'Sullivan's work on her Instagram and Facebook pages, where she has posted loads of amazing before and afters of her HD Brow treatment.
I was confident she would be able to whip my brows into shape, so headed to her studio at 34 Fitzwilliam Street Upper in Dublin.
I've had a few threading disasters in the past where therapists have thinned out my eyebrows and left them really bare, but having looked at Kim's work I didn't feel the usual apprehension that I do when leaving my brows in someone else's hands.
Kim has a really friendly, warm and welcoming manner, and having carefully examined the shape of my brows, she set to work waxing, plucking and tinting.
As you can see from the before and after pics, my brows actually look fuller in the after photo as she just added definition at the front of my brows and evened up the ends so they were more symmetrical, while removing the minimum amount of hairs.
I was amazed by the result - they look full, even and healthy without looking too fake or heavy. The tint lasted a good while too, but even after it faded after a few weeks, the new shape of my brows is easily maintained with a bit of brow pencil or powder.
Kim O'Sullivan's HD Brows Treatment costs €40, and her studio is based at 34 Fitzwilliam Street Upper, Dublin 2.
