This lovely Blackrock salon recently moved to larger premises - now boasting a new hair parlour, brow bar, nail bar and tanning rooms - but it was the Image skincare range I was most interested in trying.
My skin has been uncharacteristically difficult of late - incredibly congested on my skin, with constant breakouts of awful-looking spots on my cheeks.
A lot of the worst of the breakouts had passed, but I was left with tiny bumps on my chin and some red scarring from the worst spots, which I really wanted to get sorted out.
I tried out the Image Signature Facial which lasted an hour - and after inspecting my skin closely, my therapist decided to use a the Vital C range of products.
She began by removing my makeup, then used the Ageless Total Facial Cleanser which contains lots of lovely glycolic acid to begin breaking down the sebum in my congested areas.
This was followed with the Total Resurfacing Masque - which had another healthy dose of glycolic which you can feel tingling on your skin.
To finish off this intensive treatment - a layer of the Vital C Hydrating Enzyme Mask was applied to nourish my skin with vitamins A, C and E.
I was really impressed with the difference this made to my skin, both immediately after the treatment and since then. The spot scarring has definitely reduced, and overall most of the congestion has cleared up.
My skin felt and looked smoother than it had in ages, and looked much more radiant and clear. I'm definitely going to be turning to Image skincare in the future if my skin gets out of hand again!
