On entering the Mo Muse store you are immediately drawn in. O'Rourke believes in the great importance of presentation, and this is obvious in the hard work put into the displays.
Stands expertly exhibit her collection of pendants and earrings, while quirky objects are added to the scene, injecting a wonderfully eclectic atmosphere to the place.
Intricate little bird cages are dotted around the store, along with retro telephones, miniature carousels and dressmakers' mannequins. They form a seamless part of the display, giving the sense that you are perusing some one's personal collection, not just in another coldly lit shop full of glass cabinets.
The store has a delightfully welcoming feel to it, making you perfectly at ease to browse for as long as you like. With so much to look at you could easily forget the time and lose yourself in the little world that O'Rourke has carved out for herself in this corner of the Powerscourt centre.
This month marks the tenth anniversary of Margaret O'Rourke's jewellery line, MoMuse. O'Rourke hosts a Day of Irish Design on Saturday 27 of September to celebrate her decade in jewellery design, and also the opening of her stand alone store in the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, Dublin.
Each piece of the handfinished collection is classic and stylish, with a vibrant selection of semi-precious stones and gems adding a pop of colour. The store is currently launching a 9kt Rose Gold collection for the tenth anniversary. The new collection, featuring beautifully delicate rings, bangles and chains, looks set to be a success with its timeless simplicity.
After O'Rourke's success with the boutique "Bow" and her collaboration with Eilis Boyle and Wendy Crawford, she remains eager to support other Irish designers. At MoMuse she also stocks a selection of Natasha Sherling designs and Merle O'Grady jewellery.
