The US lingerie franchise had planned to open a store on Bond Street and another in Stratford's Westfield Shopping Centre just in time for the Olympics' opening ceremony, but it looks like sports fans won't be able to feast their eyes on the Angels after all.

No date has as yet been confirmed, but a spokesperson for the label has revealed that the stores won't open during July.

Meanwhile, Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio recently came under criticism from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)for dying her puppy pink and purple.

The animal rights group recently released a statement saying: “What most people don’t know is that dyeing a companion animal’s fur can cause the animal stress and can lead to complications or allergic reactions that endanger the animal’s health. Our dogs and cats love us regardless of how we look; why not extend the same kindness to them?”
