"Sometimes I just don't understand fashion... at all" Karlie Kloss announces in a recently released video from W Magazine. In the video, shot by Lynn Hirschberg for the magazine's series Screen Tests, 19 year-old, St. Louis native Kloss talks about juggling her teenage life with being one of the most sought-after models today.
In the video she speaks about beginning her modelling career at age 14, through to becoming a Victoria's Secret model and one of the most established models of today, walking in all the major Ready-To-Wear and couture shows.
She spoke of her hectic life over the past five years, "on a, actually daily, basis, I would leave St. Louis at like 5am and get to New York by eight or nine, go to the studio, shoot, and then head back to the aiport, back to St. Louis and into school the next day".

"I was so focused on ballet, ballet was my life" she proclaims but cringes at the fact she was 6in taller than the entire company that she worked with. "It teaches you, you know, discipline and strength, and being aware of your body, and I think that's helped a lot in this crazy career that I have".
The leggy model wore Dior couture to her high school prom last year, but says that her prom date was "hysterical". "He was about 11in shorter than me, maybe a solid foot. We were a very cute couple!".
Speaking about her life in fashion, she says "I get to be a chameleon, I get to, sort of, change my identity, along with whatever it is that I'm wearing. But I think, maybe, I lose my identity too sometimes. You're becoming a different person, eight times in the same day!"
