It was a glamorous affair at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow, with actresses Louise Linton, Karen Gillan and Millie Mackintosh attending. Singers Dionne Bromfield and Jade Ewen also attended the event, alongside supermodel David Gandy.

Christopher Kane beat off contemporaries like Holly Fulton and Jonathan Saunders to be crowned Designer of the Year at the ceremony. Upon winning he said "I think that Scotland has such a wealth of great fashion talent from design through to production and the heritage is something that we should all be proud of".

Stella Tennant nabbed the Hall of Fame Award for her modelling achievement throughout her 20-year career, while video messages of praise streamed from Mario Testino and Karl Lagerfeld. Meanwhile, Tali Lennox took home the award for Model of the Year.

Departing Doctor Who actress Karen Gillen won the award for Scottish Fashion Icon of 2012, wearing a yellow print shirt dress.

Alexa Chung, who presented the Awards, wore a Christopher Kane SS12 dress, with a crisp cotton white shirt underneath and paired with suede, tassled heels

Tali Lennox, daugher of Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox, won the award for Model of the Year.

Made In Chelsea's Millie Mackintosh walked the red carpet solo in a black gown, without boyfriend Professor Green.
