Gary Oldman and Jamie Bell were chosen by the designer brand because they are “influential icons of fashion” and are said to “represent a cross-generational broadening of the face of Prada menswear.”

The photograph taken by David Sims shows the four men posing against a cardinal red background for the shoot.

The foursome have already appeared on the catwalk at the 2012 Prada menswear show.

The actors-turned-models replaced The Dreamers actor Michael Pitt, who posed with a guitar for the current spring/summer 2012 adverts - who in turn took over from Spiderman star Tobey Maguire.
