I'm not usually very enamoured with waterproof mascaras, I find a lot of them clump easily, don't give enough volume and smudge underneath my eyes anyway.
Not so with MAC's fantastic new Zoom Waterfast Lash mascara. I gave this mascara two trials to see just how waterproof it is - wearing it in the shower and during a swim. I have to say I was impressed with the performance - the mascara stuck fast to my lashes with just a little bit of flaking. There was no black smudges under my eyes which is the main issue I find with waterproof formulas, so two thumbs up there.
Best of all, this really does deliver great volume, the brush separates lashes easily to coat them evenly without creating a spidery effect. Oh and even if I layer it on quite heavily, it still leaves lashes feeling soft.
