The initiative is called 'Give Up Clothes For Good' and the charity aim to raise €250,000 throughout the month of April, in one of the biggest charity drives ever launched in Ireland.
The initative has been spurred on by research surrounding clothes in Ireland, conducted by 'Amarch Research' in support of the Enable Ireland and TK Maxx partnershp.
In a survey as part of the research, it was concluded that half of Irish adults have clothes in their wardrobes that they haven't worn for at least a year. The Survey also found that 40% of Irish adults experience buyer's remorse.

Fionnuala O’Donovan from Enable Ireland says “We are confident that the Irish public will really get behind the campaign with their generous donations of clothes and homeware."
"We urge the Irish public to clear out their wardrobes and cupboards and part with items that they may not have worn or used for a time. We will put your gifts and donations to good use in the Enable Ireland shops to support our work for children with disabilities and their families."
As an added incentive, families who drop off their clothes and wares at any TK Maxx store nationwide will be entered into a draw to win a €1,000 gift card for the store, via the retailer's website.

Specially designed bags for the incentive will be available at TK Maxx nationwide, but donations in bags of any shape or size are welcome to help the charity reach their goal. Each bag could raise at least €30 for the charity so every little helps.
