The singer turned fashion designer insisted that when she designs her collections that she will fit the proportions to her own body.
"We always joke that we have this fabulously gorgeous 17-year-old model who is six-foot-whatever and I say, 'OK, I'm going to put it on - I stand for the general public here'," she said in an interview with British Harpers Bazaar in their upcoming issue.
She continued, "It's how I work. I found it really difficult when I was pregnant and I couldn't do that".
She finished her statement by saying "It's part of the process. I'll stand here in my knickers and start draping fabric over myself".
Beckham, who stands at 5ft 4in, is a drastically thinner than most average woman, with the standard UK & Ireland woman being a size 16.
In the same interview, the designer gushes about her recent award win for Designer Brand of The Year at the British Fashion Awards. She described it as an "out of body experience, it was like my heart was going to jump out of my body" and that she "cried three times" adding "I didn't thank the people I wanted to thank, I was really rubbish".
