Penneys have outdone themselves this season, with a great array of different aesthetics and themes for their kids collections.
Beginning with girls, there is a distinct 80's vibe in their latest threads with lots of clashing, bold colours as well as print vs. denim in a pop-punk collection full of attitude.
At the same time they also have a softer side for the older girls too, in a Fifties/Sixties-inspired theme featuring lots of candy colours, pastel shades, cute dresses and sugary brights.
Sportswear gets a design tweak, bringing traditional shapes to the modern day with a twist.
Jumpsuit €10 and denim jacket €14
Print frill maxi €12
Floral prom dress €12
Hooded top €7
Whereas with the boys, colours has never been more in style. Forget about shying away from bright greens, reds and purples, they are all going to hit you. Anchored by black, the bright colours are a key look for the younger and older boys collections. Colourful vest and short combinations are not only stylish but are reasonably priced.
Boys have a much more 80's vibe to work from. Think Miami Vice, think beachside cool. Pop art and graphic printed t-shirts are a big statement spread across a retro and cool collection.
Older boys polo and short set €12
Younger boys' pique polo and shorts €6 and €7
For the smaller men, there is a (still colourful) safari meets urban jungle theme. With lots of bright animal characters and jungle influences. Pairing bright colours with classic khakis and blues gives a look balance.
Check out the great new themes and collections rolling out in your local Penneys store between now and April.
