Dakota Fanning for Marc Jacobs

The 17 year-old, who graduated from high school last week and also took the title of Homecoming Queen, said she was “humbled by the offer” to be the star of the campaign, adding she “said yes immediately”. “Every time one of Marc’s fragrances comes out I run to the store to buy it,” Dakota told Womens Wear Daily.

“We recolored the bottle and changed the juice,” Marc said of the fragrance. “This Lola is more of a Lolita than a Lola, but we weren’t going to call the fragrance Lolita. Lola is more seductive; Oh, Lola is sensual, but she’s sweeter.”

The images taken for the campaign were shot by Juergen Teller, a long time collaborator with the designer. The Twilight actress poses suggestively in a scalloped, pink, polka dot dress with a sharp, intense look in her eyes. The fragrance is being marketed as ‘lively, playful, irresistible, stylish and cheerful’, in sharp contrast to the the advertisement.

Fanning, well known for her roles in War Of The Worlds and Man On Fire, first posed for the designer at the age of 12, in his Spring/Summer 2007 collection. Jacobs previously launched two other fragrances, Lola and Lola Velvet.
