Rupert Sanderson was joined by some of his most loyal fans this week, to celebrate the shoe designer's 10-year anniversary.
At the special event attended by Daisy Lowe, Lily Allen, Olivia Williams and Astrid Berges- Frisbey the designer said: "It's incredible to think that 10 years ago I was sitting at my little kitchen table in Bologna, looking at about six shoes and thinking, 'ok, what do I do now?"
Despite his impressive milestone the designer explained that he is still overwhelmed by his achievements saying: "You're just always so focused on looking forward; you can't stop for a minute to think 'How clever am I?' - but it's nice to do something like this, it's as if someone shakes you and says 'Look! 10 years ago you'd made some shoes, but you didn't have any idea how to run a business'. I just find it more exciting to look forward to the next bit."
Speaking to vogue.com over lunch at Bellamy's Daisy Lowe explained why she is such a fan of Sanderson saying: "He just makes beautiful shoes. The shapes and the little cut-outs; sexy little details that aren't obvious - that's the best thing about his shoes. He just gets it right - simple but beautiful. And you feel great when you wear them."
