Irish designer Peter O'Brien has launched his second capsule collection for Arnotts Department store, available from today.
The 26-piece collection has a minimal colour scheme, anchored by black and navy blue while subtle hints of white and cool taupe flow throughout. Dresses, coats and trousers feature prominently, while the black satin and black tulip dresses mixed with the black lace blouse give an almost gothic look.

Featuring high quality, luxurious fibres like lace, satin, chiffon and cashmere, the aesthetic is big on tailoring, while straddling the line between androgynous and feminine. The finish is sleek and powerful, though still being edgy and above board.

“For this season we looked at how we could move the collection forward from last year. While it is still modern and contemporary there is a distinctive edge coming through this year", O'Brien says of the collection.

"People may perceive me as a classic designer but I like the fashion injection we have given to this collection. In essence, the collection offers the basic items that every woman should have in her wardrobe.”

Prices fall between €100 and €450 and all the pieces are available in Arnotts, Dublin, now.
