Madonna, looking youthful as ever, stole the lime-light last night as she hit the red-carpet for the premiere of her directorial début W.E, at the 68th Venice Film Festival.
The 53-year-old icon looked stunning in a floor-length dove-grey gown adorned with red butterflies, created especially for her by Italian designer Vionnet.
The always unique singer finished off the outfit with a pair of sky-high red heels and glitter red-rimmed sunglasses for an added dramatic effect.
The director chatted with the movie's actors including Australian star Abbie Cornish, who looked gorgeous in a graduated strapless purple Ateliar Versace and British actress Andrea Riseborough, who was princess-like in a lemon Christian Dior Couture sensation complete with intricate beading on the tulle skirt.
