Caroline Morahan, the face of Littlewoods Ireland, has picked out some of her favourite looks from the season ahead.

The model and presenter chose three of her top trends, including seventies, cabaret and red, and describes how to work them.

SEVENTIES CELEBRATION
"From flared jeans to maxi dresses, jumpsuits to boho cardis- the seventies look set to take over this season. Mustard, tan and browns hold court alongside navy and retro prints. Find a floppy hat and take your fashion cues from the Brady Bunch – no, that’s not a typo! Fearless fashionistas can dive in at the deep end with a jumpsuit and platform heels. Oodles of confidence required for this look but if you’ve got it- go get em tiger! A more user friendly option that’s still up-to-the minute would be a pretty blouse with flared jeans. Add a good heel to give your leg a good slim line look. The seventies had a big folk influence, which is abundantly evident this autumn. Ethnic print cardis, tasselled details and cross body bags are your essential finishing touches."

RED ALERT
"If you’re seeing red this season, don’t panic. It just means you’re bang on trend. From crimson to coral, every hue has a place in this autumn’s colour palette. Pick your favourite shade and cause a sensation. A red dress is a real show stopper. Keep your look modern and avoid teaming your red dress with an obvious pair of black heels. Instead try something nude or navy. A red accessory will add an instant fashion fix to an otherwise plain outfit."

CABARET
"Glamour, decadence and sparkle - welcome to Cabaret! Organise that long overdue girl’s night out and get ready to really glam it up! With sheer fabrics, shimmer, feathers and fun. Playing dress up is a must this season. Be sure to keep beaded dresses folded in a drawer rather than hanging in your wardrobe, the weight will cause it to lose shape. If you’re going out in a sequined number, be sure your accessories aren’t fighting for attention. Less is more."
