Elle Macpherson has defended her super-groomed school run, saying that she is usually on her way to work when those photos are taken, which is why she is so well turned out.
The supermodel told the Radio Times: "I find it amusing that so much is made about my appearance, especially when I'm dropping my son off at school.
"I'm often on the way to work, so I've spent two hours having my hair and make-up done, and I'm wearing 'work clothes'."
Macpherson is often photographed dropping off her sons Aurelius and Flynn to their school in Notting Hill while wearing skin-tight leather trousers, stiletto Louboutins, trendy sunglasses and glamourous hair.
Despite this, she insists that her usual style is more low-maintenance, saying: "It takes ten minutes to get ready otherwise. I don't wear make-up, high heels and leather trousers in everyday life."
