Emma Watson has landed her first American Vogue cover.

The 21 year-old Harry Potter actress graces the July cover of the American style bible, edited by Anna Wintour. For the feature shoot, shot by Mario Testino, Watson shines in a number of couture outfits by Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabanna and Tom Ford.

Her cover is a close-up image, with Watson wearing Prada paired with dark red lips and slicked back hair. The fashion icon has previously starred in a Burberry campaign and is soon to appear as the face of Lancome’s new fragrance, Trésor Midnight Rose.

As well as acting and modelling, the British star has also designed three organic collections for People Tree. Speaking in the interview she said “I didn’t realize what I was taking on. I was doing 12-hour days on Harry Potter and then coming home to work for two more hours, sizing and cutting designs”.

A bonafide style icon on both sides of the Atlantic, Watson prides herself on showcasing unique and talented British designers. She divulged that “I thought if people are going to write about what I’m wearing, then I would wear young British designers who need the publicity”. Some of the designers she has favoured recently are Erdem and Hakaan Yildirim.

The Emma Watson issue hits newstands on June 21.
