We know the name through its association with crystals but now Swarovski is delving into fragrances and the debut scent Aura is very promising. Appealing to the eye and attractive on the nose buds, it's the perfect summer scent.
The perfume is said to be inspired by the magic of crystals, capturing light and diffracting it into luminous vibrations. Aura describes itself as a "prism of energy", with a "fusion of amber, benzoin and white musk".
It is made up of a fruity ray, a floral ray and a spicy ray. The fruity ray contains notes of juicy lychee, the floral ray has notes of pure white tuberose and the finally the spicy ray contains notes of vibrant pink pepper.
This is one of those fragrances that gives an immediate burst of intense fragrance when you spray it on and then settles to create a distinct and lasting scent, that almost oozes personality. There's lots going on here and the fragrance is quite bold but it's also fresh enough to be worn by day, not just by night.
As well as perfume, the Aura Collection from Swarovski also contains a bath line (featuring body creams and shower gel) and make-up jewels (including a pendant with silver shimmer dust inside).
