Actress and Burberry model, Emma Watson has celebrated her 21st birthday, describing the occasion as a "milestone" in her life.
The 'Harry Potter' star took to her official website to tell fans that she has been "overwhelmed" by their support, birthday wishes and gifts.
She wrote on her official blog: "Turning 21 is a significant occasion for everyone, and it's proved to be quite a milestone.
"I've completed my first year of study at Brown University. As I'm sure you're all aware, November saw the release of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows'.
"Filming for the final instalment of 'Harry Potter' has also reached an end, an experience that was incredibly poignant for everyone involved."
The actress went on to say that she is also proud of her other achievements, including her fashion projects with People Tree and Alberta Ferretti plus her recently-announced role as a Lancôme spokesperson.
She also talked about working on new film 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' and is "looking forward to new challenges" in the future.
'The Perks of Being a Wallflower', which also stars Percy Jackson actor Logan Lerman, is scheduled to begin filming this summer, while the final movie in the 'Harry Potter' series will be released in Irish cinemas on 15 July.
