Diane Kruger has revealed that she is not extravagant when it comes to buying clothes.
The face of Calvin Klein and Chanel Muse spoke about her biggest fashion purchase - which she mulled over for a long time before splashing out.
She told US Glamour magazine: "The biggest fashion purchase I ever made I thought about for six years. I'm not kidding.
"All my life I wanted to own an Hermès Constance bag, and when I signed with Calvin Klein, I decided this was the time that I could afford it. I truly broke a sweat when I paid for it."
The actress, who is in a relationship with Joshua Jackson, also spoke about her marriage to French actor and director Guillaume Canet - who is not expecting a child with Marion Cotillard.
She said: "I was married very young. We were together seven years. Without sounding pessimistic, I learned that I don't believe in marriage. I believe in a commitment that you make in your heart. There's no paper that will make you stay. A guy friend of mine said, and it made a lot of sense, that people should get married at the end of the road, not the beginning."
