Traditionally the Golden Globes is a night for the ladies to shine when it comes to fashion. But, this year, there were exceptionally looking stylish Hollywood men at the awards wearing designer tuxes and suits.

The trend in men’s formalwear seems to be back to the bow tie. The vast majority of the attendees were wearing bow ties as opposed to neckties. This gives rise to having fun with the studs and cufflinks, which they did.

Brad Pitt hit red carpet with beautiful Angelina Jolie. Brad looked handsome in a traditional Tom Ford black suit with slicked-back hair and sunglasses. Mark Wahlberg donned a two-button notch lapel tuxedo with a classic evening shirt, black bow tie and silver cuff links - while Alec Baldwin Was sporting a peak lapel tuxedo, a laydown collar tuxedo shirt, a self-tie bow tie in silk and gold and onyx studs and cuff links.

One star who opted for a no tie look was Johnny Depp. He was spotted wearing a Ralph Lauren Black Label tuxedo, a crisp white shirt and quirky glasses. The 47-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean actor looked individual and dashing.

Of course, no red carpet review would be complete without Robert Downey, Jr. The controversial star is never afraid to take a risk, both as a fashion icon and entertainer. Wearing a charcoal grey Prada tuxedo, white shirt, red satin tie with matching pocket square and black perforated Spazzolato shoes, he turned heads for all the right reasons.

But Ryan Gosling was surely 2011 Golden Globe Awards best dressed man as he sported a timeless look. The 30-year-old Blue Valentine actor looked amazing in a black velvet classic Ferragamo suit and Hugo Boss black velvet bow tie. Divine.
