Max Factor's new Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion Foundation is a great, affordable buy that performs excellently.
This is a cream-to-liquid formulation, housed in a small round tub with one compartment containing a sponge, the other the foundation.
I don't use the sponge supplied for application, finding they waste a lot of product, instead using my fingers - which is a lot less time consuming than using brushes and gives a good finish with this product.
The cream formula melts upon contact, making it really easily to apply and blend into your skin. I find a little goes a long way with this product, it gives lovely, natural coverage which you can the build upon.
It leaves a semi-matte finish, leaving skin looking fresh and smooth but never flat. I find it lasts really well throughout the day too, doesn't grow cakey or uneven, and feels lightweight on the skin - making it really easy to wear.
The one catch is the selection of shades available - there are only six shades. I tried Creamy Ivory which is a great match for my pale skin. If you can find a shade to suit you, then this is a great buy.
