Julia Roberts and Fergie were two of the stars recognised at Glamour Magazine's Women of the Year Awards 2010.
The event, which was held in New York's Carnegie Hall last night, attracted a high profile list of attendees which included Cher, Donatella Versace, Kate Huston Hilary Swank and Oprah Winfrey.
Cher received a lifetime achievement award for her work helping orphans in Kenya, co-founding The Heroes Project for wounded veterans and her support of Operation Helmet.
Fergie was presented an award by Kate Hudson for her activism with breast cancer research and AIDS awareness.
The Black Eyed Peas singer, who wore a red dress by Zac Posen, was accompanied by her husband Josh Duhamel.
Roberts was honoured for her works with Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, the renewable energy organization Earth Biofuels and for raising awareness for Rett Syndrome.
