Chanel have brought out a predictably lustworthy make-up collection for the Christmas season.
The limited edition range consists of eminently wearable products, with a tendency towards shimmering taupe and brown for the eyes, glossy pink and nude lips, flushed cheeks and fuchsia nails.
The new eyeshade quad (€45.50) consists of two light shades and two dark shades for contouring. There is a pale pink, deep bronze-brown, taupe and cream all in elegantly shimmering formulations.
There is an unusual liquid eye product too - Ombre d'Eau (€27.50) - which is an iridescent taupe shade. It handily comes with an applicator which you sweep over lips. This dries quickly, so you need to work fast to blend it adequately.
For the cheeks there is a new blush in Tweed Fuchsia (€36) which is a bright, bright pink infused with some gold shimmer. Trust me, the pictures don't do this shade justice - it is a really pigmented, vivid shade. You have to be careful to use this stuff very sparingly if you have a pale complexion like me, although it looks fabulous when applied properly.
Nails are treated to an equally bright pink - the new shade Pulsion (€21) is sure to be another sell out.
For lips there are three new glosses (€24.50) in pink, pale pink and a browny pink. There are also two new Rouge Coco lipsticks (€25.50) in pale pink and a nude brown.
The Chanel Christmas make-up collection is available from November 5th at Chanel counters nationwide. All products are limited edition.
