Karl Lagerfeld is set to design his own fashion island, which will be called the Isla Moda.
The renowned Chanel designer is collaborating with the architecture firm Oppenheim and the KOR hotel group to create a manmade island 20km off the coast of Dubai.
The resort complex will consist of three luxury hotel, boutiques and 150 residential villas, reports the Vogue website.
This venture will mark the first ever fashion island, and is planned to be completed by 2014.
