Shiseido’s Autum/Winter collection has just hit stores and contains some wonderful new products but for me this collection is all about the eyes and the stunning new eyeshadow trios.
Inspired by Shiseido makeup artistic director Dick Page's travels around the globe, the new palettes offer cheery shade combinations that can be used to create a variety of looks.
Smooth and silky, the shadows have an almost creamy texture and great pigment plus they are easily blended.
With a dazzling array of palettes to choose from, the only downside is which one to buy! I sampled the Boudoir - a trio of sensual pinks which is right up my street and also Fire – a dramatic palette of charred black, brilliant deep orange and ash grey.
The vibrant colours of the Tropicalia palette also caught my eye - bright, summery shades of hot pink, luminous yellow and acid green – a daring splash of colour to brighten up a Winter’s day.
To finish eyes add a coat of Shiseido’s new Perfect Mascara Defining Volume in black or brown and finish with the new liquid eye liner. I didn’t sample the eye liner but it looks like a really nifty product. It has a click bottom, similar to a pen, that allows for the perfect amount of product to be dispensed and the brush itself has a fine tip that is angled for precision application.
The collection also features a new concealer plus new colours in the perfect rouge lipsticks.
The new Natural Finish Cream Concealer is available in three shades, light, light medium and medium. This smooth, easy-to-blend cream is sweat, water and oil resistant. And offers good converage for spots, dark circles, acne scars, dullness and redness.
Finish your look with a swipe of perfect rouge now in five new shades. I’m a big fan of this range and they are easily the most moisturising lippies I’ve had the pleasure to use. New colours include a cool, bright pink which is chic and fresh and Twany a dusky pinkish brown.
