Popstar Alexandra Burke has signed a modelling contract with London agency IMG Models.
The company, who also represent supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, agreed a deal with Burke last week. Since then the singer has been meeting with models and designers at London Fashion Week.
Burke spoke to MTV about her new role: "To be an actual fashion model is every girl’s dream and I’m really thrilled about it.
"It will be the first time I’ve done any modelling but it’s going to be so exciting and I’m going to do my best to do a good job."
She added: "I haven’t got a natural body shape for a model but there’s no way I’m going to be going too skinny or anything like that. I want to be a good role model for young girls so I will just eat healthily and exercise like I always have."
