Irish beauty Rozanna Purcell from Clomel came seventh in the Miss Universe contest.
Miss Universe Ireland organiser Andrea Roche, who also made the top 10 in 2008, praised Purcell.
She said: "I really think she is the best representative we have ever sent to Miss Universe and that includes myself!"
Mexican Jimena Navarrete took the title of Miss Universe 2010.
