Joan Collins has revealed her thoughts on Botox, saying that the cosmetic procedure is "poison" and that makeup is essential for women to look their best.
The 77-year-old actress stated that she has never had Botox and that taking care of her skin and applying makeup are enough to look good.
She told the Daily Telegraph: "Botox, I think, is poison, I would never put it into my face, and I'm needle-phobic .
"I spend a lot of time keeping my face out of the sun and taking care of my skin and wearing makeup. I'm appalled at the amount of women who don't bother to take care of their skin.
"I was at Ascot, and there are these women in beautiful hats, very nice clothes, and they haven't got a shred of makeup on their faces."
The star also talked about the current Hollywood trend for extremely thin models.
She said: "I'm not a fan of that look, are you? In Hollywood, the girls are forced by the studios to look extremely thin. I don't know why. When I first went to Hollywood years and years ago, I was 126 lbs and they made me go down to 119. Now 119 lbs is considered fat."
