Naomi Campbell is being sued by a perfume marketing company for not fulfilling the terms of her 12-year contract.

The supermodel reportedly backed out of numerous appearances to promote her fragrance line, according to the New York Post.

Her former manager, Carole White, claimed in a court document that Campbell cancelled an Australian TV appearance in 2000 when she learnt that the lifts had broken and she would have to climb two flights of stairs.

White said: "Her failure to show was not only embarrassing, but caused friction with the Wella [perfume] people in Australia,"

Campbell's spokesperson said: "Ms. Campbell is shocked and outraged by the false allegations made by her former agent and cohorts... who have made a fortune off of her."

The model will file a countersuit in court this week.
