Lady Gaga has revealed that she was mocked for her appearance when she was in school.
The star told Cosmopolitain magazine that she hopes her music and her success will inspire young people who feel out of place.
Lady Gaga said of her looks in school: "I had a very big nose, very curly brown hair and I was overweight. I got made fun of."
She added that she hoped that people would say of her: "Lady GaGa changed my life, and her music gave me an identity when I didn't belong."
