This luxurious hair treatment from Kérastase comes at a steep retail price (€95) but do the results justify the hefty payout?
In a word, I'd say "Yes!", but it depends on how much your locks need tending to, and what you're willing to spend on achieving soft, smooth and manageable hair.
I have curly hair that at the moment is not at its best condition due to multiple permanent dye jobs (I went from a natural brunette, to redhead, to darker redhead with lighter highlights, then back to brown).
Needless to say my locks are lacking in natural shine, especially at the ends, so I was looking forward to seeing the effect this hair treatment had on them.
Firstly, the product is a treat to use. You are provided with two separate products which you combine at the time of application in order to preserve the ingredients of each componont. The set comes with a mixing bowl and spatula to help distribute the product and mix them together.
The two components of the hair treatment are the Pearls Chonologiste, which contains squalane (a fatty acid), Vitamins A & E and enriched sea water, and the Creme Chronologiste which contains gluco-lipids, a trio of ceramides and silicone concentrate.
You use around 20g of the crème with ten pumps of the pearls from the jar, and then combine the two in the mixing bowl before applying to towel-dried hair for 10 minutes.
The results were noticeable even as I rinsed the product from my hair, it felt unbelievably soft and untangled - usually I have to struggle with a hair brush for at least ten minutes after washing.
After giving my hair a rough blow dry, it fell into place much easier than usual and had a gorgeous shine. This product really performs, which it would want to for the price point!
I would say that depending on hair length, you could use less product than is recommended and get more use out of the treatment. I have fairly long, thick hair and found that I had some leftover, and this stuff it a bit pricey to be wasted!
If you have unruly, problem hair then this stuff is a dream come true.
