GH: Do you experiment with your look?

AS: I do in the sense that I like to follow the trends and if I see one that I like, I will always try it out. But essentially I know what works for me, so I tend to stick with that in my everyday look.

GH: Who is your fashion icon or your greatest influence in matters of style?

AS: I’ve always loved Brigitte Bardot's classic and simple style. She always looked sophisticated and chic, no matter what she wore. I like how she managed to look sexy without ever appearing trashy or cheap.

GH: What is your essential beauty item that must be in your handbag?

AS: Black kohl eye-liner. No matter what colours I'm wearing on my eyes that day, black eye-liner is always a staple in every look.

GH: What is your favourite item of clothing that you've ever purchased?

AS: A cropped, double breasted dove grey jacket with oversized black buttons and 3/4 length bell sleeves from Zara. I bought it in Munich in July 08' and I love it. It makes any outfit look 10 times more chic!

GH: How important is fashion in the world of celebrity?

AS: I think it's quite important because I feel like celebrities are much easier to relate to than 6 foot tall, super thin runway models, because they depict a more realistic image of how the clothes should look on a regular woman. When you see something on the runway, a lot of times, it's very difficult to imagine what that would look like on a regular person, whereas a celebrity will bring that item to life when she/he wears it. Also, a lot of young girls and women look up to celebrities and try to emulate their style or what they wear.

GH: Who's your favourite designer? And your favourite high street store?

AS: Moschino, without a doubt. It's classic with a very daring, sharp twist and pokes fun at fashion without looking ridiculous. I think that's very hard to do and I admire them for it! My favourite highstreet store is definitely Zara. You feel like you're buying a little more high-end as you can find some beautiful and unique pieces, all without breaking the bank.

GH: What is you favourite city to shop in and why?

AS: Dublin, because it's got everything you need on a smaller scale. I've lived in big cities like London and Munich before and while the shopping is great there, it can get a little overwhelming because of the immense size of the place. I love how Grafton Street is so easy to get around because it makes shopping a lot less stressful.

GH: What do you feel best wearing?

AS: Skinny jeans, ballet flats, a white tee, fitted blazer, some oversized disc earrings and a statement cuff. That's pretty much my "go-to" look.

GH: What's the best style advice you have been given?

AS: Always dress for yourself, not for anybody else.
