Pantene, is the official hair partner of the Irish Film and Television Awards, held recently in Dublin. Two of Ireland’s brightest young talents, actresses Nora Jane Noone and Sarah Bolger wore standout hair and gowns for the red carpet.
Here’s how to get the look of their hair with tips from Celebrity Stylist James Mooney.
Sarah Bolger
1. Firstly, wash hair with new Pantene Nature Fusions shampoo and new Pantene Nature Fusions conditioner for a glossy finish and great shine.
2. Comb through volume mousse from roots to ends. It is always best to prepare the hair with product, to give it hold and make it easier to mould into shape.
3. When blow drying, smooth the hair out with a large round brush. Once the hair is dry set the hair on varied sized heated rollers, spray the rollers lightly and let them cool. It’s best to use different sized rollers because of the length of the hair to give a varied curl.
4. When cooled, take out the rollers and shake the hair lightly. Do not brush the hair as this will make hair wavy and for this particular look we want to keep the curl..
5. No real parting added here. It’s best to just ruffle the hair from side to side to make it look that bit softer. When done spray hair lightly so not to take away the bounce and make too heavy. This will also help the hair to retain shine.
Nora Jane Noone
1. Firstly, I would recommend washing hair with new Pantene Nature Fusions shampoo and new Pantene Nature Fusions conditioner, this range protects the hair from damage and gives enviable shine.
2. Apply a volume mousse to damp hair and comb it through making sure to spread it evenly from roots to ends. When blow drying, make sure to smooth the hair out with a large round brush.
3. When the hair is dry set on large heated rollers. Once in place, spray the rollers lightly and leave them cool.
4. When cool, remove the rollers and pin each section into a barrel curl and leave in place while you get ready, apply make-up etc... Leave your hair pinned until you are nearly ready to leave, this will make the curl last longer in the evening.
5. Before leaving for the party, take out the barrel curls and brush the hair into waves at one side. Dry the lift at the front with the dryer on cool air and then pin it into place so it doesn’t drop onto your face during the night.
