The auction site eBay has reported a rise in sales of Alexa Chung's favourite clothing and accessories over the past few weeks.
The site saw a hike in denim sales after Chung talked about her love of the fabric in an interview with Vogue. Dungaree sales went up 75 per cent after she modelled them in the magazine, and the sale of denim shorts went up 277 per cent almost overnight, after she said she owned ten pairs.
Clogs also saw a sales hike of just under 200 per cent after she was photographed wearing them on the Vogue cover and at a Chanel catwalk show.
A spokesperson for eBay told Vogue.com: "It seems that whatever Alexa wears, we want to wear. She is regularly the number one searched-for name on eBay because her style is so influential. As soon as she steps out in her latest look, shoppers flock to eBay to snap up replica items."
