I usually go for either a tinted moisturiser or light, dewy foundation, as I don't like the heavy feel of foundation on my face.

However, Clarins new Everlasting foundation SPF 15 might have just turned me around on that front. It's a medium to high coverage foundation that boasts 15 hours of wear, and it stands up well to that claim.

The foundation is best applied with a foundation brush. The liquid is lightweight and creamy to the touch, much more so than you would expect from such a longlasting formulation.

I find it easy to apply and blend, so long as I don't deposit too much product on the brush at one time. It gives a pretty flawless finish to the skin when buffed in with a foundation brush and blended well.

Good news for the pale-skinned among us too - there are lovely light shades in the range. I tried Ivory (the palest) and found it to be a good match for my skin. The next step up, Cream, is a slightly warmer version of this.

The finish it gives to skin is semi-matte, there are light reflecting pigments in the mix so the skin looks glowing rather than flat.

The foundation lasts and lasts too, with no deterioration in the quality of coverage and appearance on the skin.

As an added bonus, it has a really gorgeous scent - a fruity, melon based fragrance - that makes it a real treat to the senses.

This product is especially suited for nights out, which will see you through to the wee hours of the morning!

Coming in at €29, this is a decent price for such a high quality product.

Clarins Everlasting Foundation SPF15 is available from Clarins counters nationwide, €29.
