Clothes designer and reality TV star Nicole Richie and her partner, Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden, have announced that they are to marry.
People magazine quotes a source as saying that Richie announced the news during the taping of an episode of 'The Late Show with David Letterman', which will air on American television on Friday.
Twenty-eight-year-old Richie and 30-year-old Madden began dating in December 2006.
They have two children, daughter Harlow, aged two, and son Sparrow, aged five months.
