As the daughter of a pop star and one of the world's most famed beauties, it was just a matter of time before Amber Le Bon's face was gracing the news stands. Now, with her first solo magazine cover, the daughter of Simon Le Bon, Duran Duran's lead singer, and his model wife Yasmin, is following in her mother's footsteps.

Miss Le Bon, 20, is on the cover of the March issue of Tatler, which her mother, 45, first fronted in the 1980s.

In an interview with the magazine, which is published on Thursday, Miss Le Bon spoke of her surprise at being chosen to star in fashion campaigns, including those for River Island and the lingerie label Myla.

"I don't know why they always pick me," she said. "They could pick the stick-thin skinny girls - I have hips and a bum. I feel really self-conscious."

Miss Le Bon is keen to distance herself from children famous for having celebrity parents. "I don't really see myself as a socialite or as a 'child of someone'. I'd rather be working than going to fashion parties all the time."
