Tyra Banks is to launch a competition that features plus-sized teen models, reports Us weekly.
The model and TV host announced her plans for the 'Fiercely Real Teen Model' search, on her talk show, The Tyra Banks show.
She is seeking "curvylicious" contestants between the ages of 13 and 19, with heights of between 5'9" to 6'1" and dress sizes between 16 to 24.
The finalists of the competition will be announced on The Tyra Banks show on March 2 and the winner will receive a one year's contract with a modelling agency, a photo shoot in Banks' webzine and a spread in a major fashion magazine.
Banks said of the model search: "I’ve always felt it was my mission to expand the narrow perceptions of beauty. Through America’s Next Top Model, True Beauty and The Tyra Show I challenge industry and universal standards by featuring and celebrating non-traditional beauty."
