I'm always on the look-out for a new mascara to try out. When it comes to beauty treats mascara is my must-have product for my handbag. So naturally I was excited to try out L’Oreal’s latest offering, Double Extension Mascara with Renewal Serum.
There are two elements to this mascara. Firstly, you apply a white base serum to the lash, allow to dry, and then apply your mascara to darken and lengthen the lashes, finishing the effect.
For me, although the instructions for application are very simple, applying the product in a satisfying way isn’t completely straightforward. I found that the base serum took quite a long time to dry and, even after allowing for this, the mascara was a little difficult to apply and tended to clump a bit on the lashes.
That said, when you get over the application stage, the mascara does look well on your eyes. The lashes appear long and striking, which is a result, in one way.
But I always think that make-up removal is also a factor that should be considered when choosing a product and, for me, this mascara fell down here too. Extremely difficult to remove from the lashes, the job of taking off your face at the end of the day took slightly longer than I would like!
