Peaches Geldof has been criticised for posing in a recent photoshoot holding a replica gun.
Geldof was pictured holding a toy gun to her friend's head and pointing the prop down his trousers in a series of photos for a fashion shoot.
Anti-gun groups have said the photos are "abhorrent" after she posted the images on her Facebook and Twitter pages.
Protester Vanessa Hyman, whose son Anton was killed by gun violence in 2004, said to The Sun: "For someone like her in the public eye to have her photo taken with a gun is disgraceful. Guns are not toys. They aren't something to be used as a prop in a fashion shoot. It's totally disrespectful and abhorrent to all those people who've lost loved ones to gun crime."
Geldof's spokesperson said that the star "does not condone violence" and maintained that the gun was a "child's plastic toy".
