'Desperate Housewives' star Eva Longoria has become the latest celebrity to create her own scent
Women's Wear Daily reports that Eva by Eva Longoria will be launched worldwide in April and is the first in a planned series of Longoria fragrances.
The actress said: "I have always been somewhat allergic to all perfumes and really wanted to create something that every woman could wear."
"So I decided to create my own fragrance that is light, fresh and unique. I think the scent of a woman is extremely sexy and this scent will prove that."
The 'Desperate Housewives' star was instrumental in helping Florida's Falic Fashion Group develop the product. Jerome Falic, the CEO of Falic's parent company, said, "Eva was involved from Day One with all aspects of the project."
"At the end of the day, it's about Eva," said Falic. "She wanted something different, so we designed quite a few different [versions]."
"I never knew how complicated it was to create a unique scent that hasn't already been done," Longoria Parker said. "But I enjoyed the process."
The new series of 'Desperate Housewives' begins on RTÉ Two on Tuesday, 5 January.
