Pop star Katy Perry, who is renowned for her quirky and experimental style of dressing, has said that it's important for her not to take fashion too seriously.
In an interview with More! magazine, she said: "I’ve had to pay it more attention than I did before. I used to love to treasure hunt for clothes, but now people really analyse what I am wearing so I have to give things a bit more thought. I think fashion should be fun – as soon as you start analysing it too much you’ve lost it."
As well as having to consider her wardrobe choices more closely, the singer has had to deal with extra media attention since her relationship with Russell Brand was revealed.
She said: "Recently I understood the stuff people like Victoria Beckham have had to deal with for most of their adult lives. It can be frightening and overwhelming but you just have to learn to deal with it."
