Ashes were one of the tricks used to remove colour stains from around the hair line in the 60's and thankfully things have changed a lot since then. However one of the biggest changes has only just begun.
L'Oréal has just launched a new colour range which is breaking the mould. After decades of worrying about the harmful effects of ammonia on coloured hair...they bring us the ammonia free INOA range. Good times.
Not only is it kinder on our locks but it also smells kinder too and takes half the time to apply, wash and go. The colour can be used as your base colour or applied as highlights too. My local, Kazumi, stock INOA and I was eager to try it out. I have brown hair, which I've been warming up with caramel/golden highlights and I was worried that INOA wouldn't have a correct colour match but I'm thrilled with the results. I'm one step closer to younger looking hair, now I can focus on the other areas!

I was looking forward to trying out L’Oréal’s latest hair colouring innovation, INOA, which claims to be kinder to the hair due to a new oil base which eliminates the need for ammonia.
The permanent hair colourant comes in forty natural shades, and I went for a combination of brown hues to closely match my roots. I’ve had auburn hair for a while, but the upkeep was loads of hassle so I was hoping INOA would have a close match for my natural hair colour!
Development time for the dye is only fifteen minutes, and unlike other permanent colours which I’ve used – there was no offensive smell. The dye restored a lovely shine to my hair and when it had been blow-dried looked really natural and not as if I’d just had it coloured – just what I was hoping for.
