The French singer and actress Vanessa Paradis was today announced as the new face of Chanel lipstick.
She previously modelled for the fashion house, in 1992 promoting the fragrance 'Coco' and in 2003 for 'Chambon' handbags.
In a statement from Chanel, the reason for her being chosen is her "...modern elegance, boldness of character and power of emotion".
She will promote the range of lipsticks entitled 'Rouge Coco de Chanel' from 2010.
Paradis is in a relationship with actor Johnny Depp, with whom she has two children - Lily Rose and John Christopher.
