Editor of American Vogue, Anna Wintour, made a rare appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman last night to promote the new film 'The September Issue'.
When Letterman said that the film 'The Devil Wears Prada was based on her and Vogue, she replied:
"Well I seem to remember that actually the movie was a work of fiction and we really like fiction at Vogue."
He also questioned Wintour about her reputation, to which she answered, "I’m very decisive and I try and give very clear direction to the people that I am working with and sometimes unfortunately they don’t hear the answer they would like to hear.
"As my publisher says in the movie, I‘m not always warm and cuddly but I appreciate wonderful work, creative talented people. What I liked about the movie is that it really showed all the hard work that goes into the making of the magazine.”
'The September Issue' takes an unprecedented look behind the scenes at Vogue as the editoral staff put together their biggest ever issue.
